It is one of the detoxification therapies that promotes the removal of toxic substances from the body. A professionally trained therapist performs a procedure of emptying a person's large intestine by operating on special equipment. The therapist must successfully complete an I-ACT approved course of study and receive a passing grade on the I-ACT written test to become certified to perform Colon Hydrotherapy. 1
Professional colon hydrotherapy, also commonly referred to as a colonic, is a safe, and very effective method of cleansing the ENTIRE colon by removing harmful toxins without the use of drugs. It will not lead to dependency. In fact, the expansion and contraction of the colon as the water fills and releases will help to tone and strengthen the colon muscle over time.
Colonics have been documented as one of the most effective methods of caring for the colon. The therapy has been used for thousands of years. It is a relaxing, gentle process, like a medical spa type treatment, that is important for vitality. By introducing filtered and temperature-regulated water into the colon, the fecal matter is softened and loosened, resulting in evacuation through natural peristalsis. This process is repeated a few times during a session.
Many doctors are now embracing colonic irrigation as an adjunct to their traditional medical treatments, or as part of an overall regimen of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) designed to cleanse and detoxify their patient's colon, liver, kidney and lymphatic systems.
Keep in mind that poor colorectal health is also a potential cause of colon cancer, obesity, and all sorts of medical disorders. More and more people are dying from colon cancer than ever before. It now is the number 1 cancer amongst men and women together. Individually, colon cancer is second only to lung cancer in terms of cancer deaths in the U.S.A., claiming the lives of nearly 50,000 men and women annually, and yet most people still think "it won't happen to me".
Medical autorities are now stressing the importance of proper bowel function and how CRITICAL its condition is to the overall health of the human body.
Dr. Anthony Badzier, Professor of Gastroenterology in New York brings other professionals attention to a very important fact (in the video below): "After concluding a 25 year study of over 5,000 cases, every physician should realize that intestinal toxins are the most important primary and contributing causes of many disorders and health problems of the human body."
Dr. Norman Walker also concluded (in the video below): "Out of 100,000 autopsies that I had attended, less than 10% of the people had normal colons."
Dr. Bernard Jensen, D.C.,N.D.,Ph.D., in his book "Tissue Cleansing Through Bowel Management" claimed that over 95% of people he saw in his consultations where constipated. This may well be your case! Although you may have daily bowel movements are you sure that 100% of the body's waste is coming out? Is it possible that only 99.9% is rejected and the rest sticks to your intestines? What will this mean over a period of 10 or 20 years?
The videos below will help you to find the cause of many of your health conditions and what you can do about it.

Important:
In the section of “Differences between Open and Closed Systems” I have covered a lot of details to clarify all the confusion that is out there about What Is What? and How It Works? Unfortunately, most sites that talk about the differences between Open and Closed equipment are written by colon hydrotherapists who only have personal experience working on one type of system. Therefore, their opinion about the use and effectiveness of the other type of system is unreliable. I have personally administered colon hydrotherapy using both types of systems. Please take time to read that section and educate yourself.
